Real Estate Taxes

There has been so much going around these days about our Real Estate taxes in the Hampton Rds region. In the VA pilot on the Thursday May 3rd 2007There was over 600 people at Granby High looking for answers . Norfolk’s tax rate is 1.27 per $100 asses value. The Norfolk Tea Party 2 tax relief is demanding a rate of 1.08 that’s a decrease of 19 cents. With values so much in the past few years residents are being taxed out of their own homes. Every city is feeling the pain of higher taxes. People who have been in their homes for years now are finding from insurance and real estate taxes there little to nothing left over. My personal assessment has jumped from 288,196.00 to 331,698.00 that’s and extra 425 estimate in increase on payments.

In the city of Chesapeake only one council member showed for the meeting with residents. My personal feelings everything is rising I have 3 homes I pay for of course with higher values I now how to review my home owners insurance coverage. WOW talk about more dents in the wallet
